Tecnadis METALCOAT “Easy-To-Clean” is a multi-purpose and highly-durable coating that protects different surfaces from scratches, impacts and from corrosion. It is based on a dispersion of ceramic nanoparticles which avoids pollutant particles and food leftovers from sticking to the surface, thus simplifying cleaning tasks and reducing cleaning time and frequencies and elongating material lifetime.
The coating Tecnadis METALCOAT “Easy-To-Clean” provides a highly-durable non-stick effect through the creation of a thin transparent film which acts as a barrier, preventing the dirt to get adhered to the surface, thus making the surface “easy-cleaning” and protecting it from corrosion, impacts and scratches.
No, Tecnadis METALCOAT “Easy-To-Clean” is a transparent coating that respects natural colour of the substrate and its superficial structure.
Tecnadis METALCOAT “Easy-To-Clean” has three products that can be used separately or in different combinations to obtain the best performance-price ratio for each application:
- METALCOAT BASE: It provides protection against scratches, impacts and corrosion, as well as hydrophobic and oleophobic properties.
- METALCOAT PLUS: METALCOAT BASE with improved non-stick performance.
- METALCOAT ENHANCER: Top coat to be applied onto either METALCOAT BASE or METALCOAT PLUS to enhance their non-stick performance.
Tecnadis METALCOAT “Easy-To-Clean” can be easily applied onto almost any metallic surface such as stainless steels, carbon steels, iron, aluminium, copper, and bronze, among others.
In addition, Tecnadis METALCOAT “Easy-To-Clean” coating can be applied onto enamelled metals, ceramics, glass, and even onto some kind of plastics.
The application of the TECNADIS METALCOAT “Easy-To-Clean” products can be performed by different techniques depending on the morphology, dimensions and end-use of the pieces to be treated. For small pieces, the dip-coating method is recommended, dipping the piece into the liquid during 1 minute and then draining the material in excess. For larger pieces with good accessibility, application by a spray-gun is advisable, as well as for on-site applications on already existing devices and equipment. The typology of this spray gun may vary from a simple air-less electric gun to more sophisticated air-forced guns, since the application of the coating is very indulgent. For applications in industrial series, the most proper technique would be to use an automated spraying robot.
No chemical or physical surface preparation is required previous to the application of the coating beyond a simple cleaning or degreasing.
Yes. On one hand, Tecnadis METALCOAT BASE and Tecnadis METALCOAT PLUS need a thermal drying at 100ºC until all the solvent has been evaporated and the coating has not longer wet look during 15-30 minutes. For the last step to fix the coating to the surface, it is necessary another thermal sintering at 300ºC during 15-30 minutes too.
In the case of Tecnadis METALCOAT ENHANCER, it needs also a thermal drying at 200ºC about 15-30 minutes, to ensure la proper fixation of the product over the before product, Tecnadis METALCOAT BASE or PLUS.
METALCOAT BASE: Approximate yield: 45 -55 ml/m². (For application with airless electric spraying gun)
METALCOAT PLUS: Approximate yield: 45 -55 ml/m². (For application with airless electric spraying gun)
METALCOAT ENHANCER: Approximate yield: 60-70 ml/m². (For application with airless electric spraying gun)
Tecnadis METALCOAT “Easy-To-Clean” is a highly-durable coating that presents good resistance to acids, bases and solvents keeping its properties and performance unaltered.
